International air cargo traffic fell 5.4 percent in September from a year ago but rose 12 percent from its December 2008 low point, the International Air Transport Association reported.
The cargo load factor, or capacity utilization, also has returned to the pre-crisis level of 50.8 percent, which should help to correct the "precipitous" 20 percent decline in yields, the Geneva-based trade body said.
